John Chaney, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
John Chaney is chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of PreCash, Inc., one of the nation's leading retail cash payment networks. During his career, Mr. Chaney has successfully completed more than 30 acquisitions and created more than a dozen start-up companies.

Mr. Chaney joined PreCash in September 1999 as a member of the company's board of directors. In May 2001 he was elected as the chairman of the board and CEO. Under his leadership, the company's revenue has grown by more than 2,000 percent and it now processes more than $1 billion a year through its system.

Previously, Mr. Chaney had guided the growth of TeleCheck Services Inc., the world's leading check acceptance provider, from a small independent franchise to an international company with annual revenue of several hundred million dollars, over 2,000 employees, 400,000 retail customers and more than a million check transactions daily. Mr. Chaney, who co-founded TeleCheck in 1976, sold the company to a predecessor of First Data in 1992. In 1995, he was promoted to group president of First Data, managing seven operating companies over a three-year period. He left First Data in 1998 to pursue private investment opportunities as managing director of Convergent Investors, a Houston/Austin based venture capital firm.

Mr. Chaney has served on numerous boards and charitable organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Principia College with majors in computer science, business administration and economics and he served as an officer in the United States Air Force. Mr. Chaney resides in Houston, Texas.

Matt Callanan,  Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Matt Callanan joined PreCash in February 1999 to lead the design and deployment of PreCash's payment processing services and currently serves as executive vice president and chief technology officer. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Callanan gained extensive experience as a systems architect at XO Communications, designing transaction processing systems to support high capacity and high availability. At XO, he also led the re-architecture and implementation of a prepaid billing platform for MCI WorldCom, including POS activation services to Target, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Clubs, and convenience stores. Prior to XO, he was a systems implementer with Consolidated Edison of New York. Mr. Callanan holds a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Iona College in New York.

Mia Mends, General Manager and Vice President, Prepaid Debit
Mia Mends joined PreCash in 2005 as director of the company's prepaid debit business, charged with overseeing the introduction of the company's line of prepaid debit cards to international markets. Mia’s experience in the field includes developing and managing 11 co-branded credit card partnerships in nine countries for United Airlines. Previously, as the director of national account sales and marketing, she implemented marketing strategies and financial models to expand Diners Club's North America card acceptance network at domestic, international and franchised establishment businesses across hospitality, airline, retail, restaurant, mail order and Internet channels. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Wellesley College and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Lee Schoenberger, Vice President, Finance
Joining PreCash in 2005, Lee Schoenberger has nearly 16 years of experience in finance and accounting. Lee began his career with PreCash as finance manager and became corporate controller before being named to his current role in October of 2008. Prior to his career at PreCash, Lee served as director of finance at TeleCheck where he focused on managing profitability for several hundred million dollar regional and national portfolios. This included developing and implementing new systems to analyze and evaluate merchant profitability. In addition, Lee managed the Plans and Analysis group as well as led the acquisition team on multi-million dollar acquisitions. Lee holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas and has a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas Tech University.

Steve Shaper, Executive Vice President, Sales
Steve Shaper is executive vice president of sales for PreCash and brings extensive leadership and payment industry experience to the company. Mr. Shaper most recently served as chairman for Optimal Payments Company. He also served as president of sales and marketing for First Data and as chief executive officer of TeleCheck. Prior to TeleCheck, Mr. Shaper owned, or was a partner in, more than 40 manufacturing, distribution, and importing companies.  He is currently a board member of Metal Oxide Technologies, Mickie Services Company, Middlemarch Capital Corporation, PreCash Corporation, Stock Trak Corp. and ThinkCash Corp.  Mr. Shaper is also a member of World Presidents’ Organization. He served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, earned a BA degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Cynthia D. Sparkman, Senior Vice President, Human Resources
With more than 20 years of experience, Cindy Sparkman brings a wealth of human resources knowledge to PreCash. She joined the company in October of 2007. Most recently, Cindy was vice president of human resources for Cameron. She has extensive experience with international and domestic human resources, including employee relations, change management, acquisition and divestitures, coaching and counseling, performance management, succession planning and benefits and compensation. Cindy has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Houston, is a certified Birkman consultant and is licensed in neuro-linguistic programming. She currently serves on the Stages Repertory Theatre board of directors. Cindy has also served on the West University Place City Council and park board, and the Galleria Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
 
Steve Taylor, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Steve Taylor joined PreCash in 2002 and has nearly 20 years of experience in finance and operations. Steve began his career with PreCash as controller and vice president of finance. He became senior vice president of operations, then executive vice president of operations and chief financial officer (CFO) before being named chief operating officer. Prior to his career at PreCash, Taylor served as CFO for Assembletech L.P. He brings significant payments industry experience to PreCash, having previously served as vice president of finance for TeleCheck Services, Inc., where his last position directed mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. Taylor is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Northern Arizona University.

 
Randy Templeton, Executive Vice President, Marketing
Randy Templeton joined PreCash in July 2003 with more than 20 years of market and product development experience. Templeton most recently served as senior vice president of strategic marketing and product development for TeleCheck Services, where he developed strategy and initiatives that fueled the company’s growth to several hundred million dollars in annual revenue. He was a founding member of the NACHA Electronic Check Council and a participant on the Federal Reserve Payment Advisory Council. He also served on the board of directors for Paymentech Merchant Services. Templeton attended the London Business School’s course on Strategic Thinking and completed additional graduate studies in political sociology at Emory University. Templeton earned his Bachelor of Science in political science from Stephen F. Austin State University.
